National Honor Society Club Information
Description of the club:
New members of the National Honor Society are inducted into the organization each Spring. Members must meet all four pillars of the National Society which include: Scholarship, Character, Leadership , and Service. Once inducted, students must meet all requirements of being an "active" member by abiding to all clubs by-laws. If by-laws are followed, then each senior will receive an honor cord at graduation.

List of Activities:
- Organize , plan, and run the Scholastic C program
- Organize plan, and run the Spring Induction Ceremony
- Main hall decoration for both football and basketball homecoming
- We do fundraising cards or discount cards
Scholastic C Recipients - any freshman, sophomore, or junior who receives a semester GPA of 3.7 or better for two consecutive semesters within an academic year, will be honored at a ceremony in the fall of the following academic year. (Example: If a sophomore earns a 3.7 GPA or better each semester of his/her sophomore year, he/she will be invited to attend the Scholastic C Ceremony in the fall of the his/her junior year to receive the Scholastic C Award.)
NHS Inductees - sophomores and juniors who have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and are on the Core 40, Academic Honors, or the Technical Honors diploma tracks are eligible to apply for National Honor Society during 2nd semester. Students must meet the scholarship requirements, have no disqualifying demerits, and complete an application. Submitting an application does not guarantee admittance into NHS. Submitted applications will go before a faculty board for discussion and determination of admittance.
