Our Mission

In cooperation with the staff at Castle High School, we raise funds each year for qualified seniors at CHS, in order to assist the students in furthering their education at a college or technical/trade school of their choice.

Our History

We have awarded more than 1,100 scholarships to Castle seniors, totaling over $460,000, in our first 18 years. In the summer of 2013, with the blessing of the administration at Castle High School, we ended our affiliation with ‘Scholarship America’ and ‘Dollars For Scholars’ in order to become an independent organization. As such, about 2% of donations go toward administrative costs, and 98% go toward scholarships for Castle High School students. Our name has changed, but the mission is just the same.

Who’s Eligible

Every Castle High School senior pursuing post-secondary education is encouraged to apply. Applications are made available through the CHS guidance counselors during the spring semester.

What Are My Chances?

A total of 90 members of the Class of 2014 received CHS Senior Scholarship Fund awards, ranging from $300 to $2,000. An independent group ranks the applicants based on school activities, community service, employment, recommendations, grades and test scores. Those ranking the applications do not see the names of students who are applying.
